We have successfully executed the following youth centered projects and campaigns,

  • UNDP funded media monitoring campaign which was part of a wider project to provide media monitoring around the country for the 2007 election period to assess the performance of the media against criteria such as the right of access, balance and objectivity. Independent media monitoring was conducted using international methodological standards of quantitative analysis by Blossom Nigeria Project under the project leader WACSOF. Media monitors worked with Blossom Nigeria Project and received professional training from an international UNDP media expert.
  • OCTOBER 2007, we contributed to founding the African youth unite for change (AFYUCH) with a focus to build leadership potential among young people in post conflict African countries.
  • British Council, Kano funded “Top 12 Seminar: Youth Works Project” aimed to identify, showcase and celebrate the top 12 most impacting youth-led community based projects in Nigeria. using the "How To Take Part In Youth Development" Handbooks to train 20 youths in each state of the federation; they were then encouraged to initiate and conduct community based projects which will automatically qualify for entry into the top 12 youth works exhibition awards scheduled for October 2008
  • JANUARY 2008, as a result of our youth position on anti-corruption, the organization was granted observer status at the UNITED NATIONS CONVENTION ON CRIME AND CORRUPTION (UNCAC) Conference Held in Nusa Dua, Bali, Indonesia.

We are members of the Coalition Of Civil Society Friends of the UNCAC (the coalition) a loose network of Civil Society Organisations (CSO´s) committed to promoting and contributing to UNCAC ratification, implementation and monitoring.

 

  • The organization emerged as finalist in the TIC AMERICAS BUSINESS PLAN COMPETITION in 2007 and benefited from this opportunity to participate in international events related to TIC AMERICAS.

 

    • 2ND TO 14TH NOVEMBER, 2008, we were offered scholarship to attend a workshop titled "INNOVATION AND TECHNOLOGIES FOR TRADE IN SMES" in Haifa, Israel. This was as a result of work which began with thirty two teams selected after a process that began with 790 teams, who were eligible to compete in the TIC AMERICAS finals on-site IN PANAMA CITY, PANAMA, May 31st– June 2nd, 2007 and present their business in the TIC AMERICAS EXPO.
    • We have als benefitted from the MASHAV/TIC AMERICAS scholarship where we were sponsored for 3 weeks training to an international course on SUPPORT SYSTEM FOR MICROENTERPRISES Frm 1st To 15th September 2009.
